The Isleworth & Hounslow Charity Ltd distributes one-off grants of up to £300 to individuals residing in the London Borough of Hounslow and £500 to the work of organisations in the Borough. Grants are awarded for ‘relief in need’ and ‘relief of sickness’.

Grants between £250 & £5,000 available for local groups & organisations working to develop relationships across diverse faiths and ethnicities.  
Near Neighbours is an exciting initiative from the Church Urban Fund which provides easy-to-access funding for grassroots community organisations in diverse areas of the UK.
Near Neighbours has two key objectives:

• Social interaction – to develop positive relationships in multi-faith areas i.e. to help people from different faiths get to know and understand each other better.
• Social action – to encourage people of different faiths and of no faith to come together for initiatives that improve their local neighbourhood.

We are wanting to get the word out to faith/community groups or charities all over 11 different boroughs in West London to help them access small grants of up to £5000 for projects which bring together religiously and culturally diverse communities.

Hounslow VCSE Training & Development Bursary
Hounslow Council’s Community Partnerships Unit is very pleased to announce the launch of a new bursary scheme for the VCSE sector in Hounslow.
The Hounslow VCSE Training & Development Bursary will provide funds to cover the costs of voluntary and community organisations groups achieving recognised quality standards and undertaking training and development work to improve their organisation’s capacity to deliver effective services. Under the new scheme organisations can apply for a maximum of £2,250
The bursary supports three strands of funding;

1. Achieving quality standards to strengthen the organisation Nationally recognised quality standards enable an organisation to prove they have attained a recognised level of quality.
2. Professional development and other training: The Bursary can also cover the costs of individuals attending training that develops their professional skills and competencies.
3. Organisation mentoring and development The bursary can fund the commissioning of a suitably qualified professional to work with you and your organisation to strengthen your skills and/or systems in monitoring, evaluation and impact reporting and to help the organisation become more business minded with improved systems for forward business and financial planning.

 
Eligibility
Organisations must be based in Hounslow or deliver the majority of its services to Hounslow residents.
Organisations must be a properly constituted charity, social enterprise or community group.
Priority will be given to small and medium sized organisations, defined as:
– Groups having up to 3 full-time equivalent staff (i.e. 0 to 85.5 hours paid staff time per week, even if split across more than five posts).
– Groups having an annual turnover of £150K or less

A Greener City Fund, offering up to £9 million to support local community groups, schools, boroughs and charities to plant more trees and create and improve green spaces across the capital has been launched by the Mayor of London. The first round of Community Tree Planting Grants and Community Green Spaces Grants are now open for application. There’s £1 million of funding for the first round, and grants of between £5,000 – £50,000 are available. Apply by 29 September for the Tree Planting Grants and 20 October 2017 for the Green Space Grants.
