Future Ealing Fund crowdfunding Workshop Wed, 28 July 2021 10:00 – 11:00 BST

THIS EVENT IS FOR COMMUNITY LEADERS IN EALING TO HELP THEM SUPPORT THEIR GROUPS WITH FUNDING TO DELIVER THEIR PROJECTS

The Future Ealing Fund Crowdfunding Programme is Ealing Council’s transformation programme. You can be part of the transformation to make our borough better for everyone to enjoy. There’s £100,000 on offer through the Future Ealing Fund, with a maximum of £10,000 (up to 50% of campaign target) for crowdfunding projects. Come along to our online workshop find out more!

Arts Council England – Cultural Recovery Fund, Round 3

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport Cultural Recovery Fund (CRF), administered by the Arts Council England has released key dates for funding applications in 2021.

This fund aims to provide emergency funding awards to culturally significant organisations that were financially sustainable before Covid-19 but are now at imminent risk of failure and have exhausted all other options for increasing their resilience.

Eligibility:

Cultural organisations that are properly constituted with a governing document and are able to demonstrate, via cashflow forecast, they are at risk of ceasing to trade viably within 12 weeks of the point of application.

The kinds of organisations that are eligible to apply include:

  • private companies (either limited by shares or guarantee) registered at Companies House
  • community interest companies (either limited by shares or guarantee) (CICs) registered with the CIC regulator
  • charitable incorporated organisations (CIOs) registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales
  • charitable companies or charitable trusts registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales
  • limited liability partnerships registered at Companies House
  • partnerships established under a partnership deed/ agreement governed by the Partnership Act 1890 or the Limited Partnerships Act 1907
  • community benefit and co-operative societies registered with the Financial Conduct Authority Royal Charter bodies
  • statutory bodies and other public bodies including Universities and museums who run or maintain cultural services

The Grant range is between £25,000 and £3m (£1m for for-profit organisations)

Permission to apply submissions will be accepted from Thursday 8th July and must be secured before undertaking a formal application.

Monthly bird walk and surveys at Walpole Park

We welcome volunteers and visitors back to Walpole Park for the monthly bird survey and walk. These take place on the third Saturday of each month.

The next one is therefore this Saturday, 17 July, 8am.

No need to book, just turn up. We meet by the café kiosk and the walk takes just over an hour.

No prior experience required. Our regulars are a friendly bunch and happy to share their knowledge.

You will need a pen if you want to record the species and if you have binoculars that would be useful, but not essential.

From April to October inclusive, we meet at 8am to start the walk.

From November – March, we meet at 8.30am to start.

Level 3 ESOL & Literacy Teacher Training- by Twin

The Location: Online

The Qualification: Level 3 ESOL and Literacy

Your learning hours: 60 hours within 8 – 10 Weeks (2 days a week Intensive course) – actual class hours are 36 hours and the rest are for you to prepare, study and receive 5 hours of 1-1 coaching sessions

Research, coursework, and report preparation: Up to 60 hours

Your Schedule: Flexible, depending on the needs of the group

Class size: up to 6-10 students

Your Teacher trainers: Highly qualified, approachable, and passionate. Lessons will be dynamic and interactive – we want to inspire you to inspire others!

Course assessment: Four units – 100% coursework – a guided research project and a short oral presentation – there is no requirement to undertake any practical teaching
