Round 2 – Black History Month 365 Fund

The ‘Black History Month 365’ Fund has launched its second Round. This year was the first time, A2Dominion Housing Group, Catalyst Housing and Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing have teamed up to launch a collective fund to support small organisations, residents groups and charity to celebrating black history.
In our first round, we managed to support seven unique projects, including African drumming classes at West Thames College and African Families in the UK (AFiUK); Sister Talk project an International Day for the elimination of Violence Against Women which was a day of activities that provided black African heritage women with a platform to discuss gender-based issues.
This fund provides grants of up to £500 throughout the year for events, activities and projects celebrating black history; it is open to applications from residents, community groups, schools and local organisations.
The deadline for the next Round is Monday 17th January 2022Â

The aims of the fund are to:
- Bring communities together to mark and celebrate the shared history
- Promote the awareness and knowledge of black history
- Celebrate the achievements and contributions from individuals of African and Caribbean heritage
- Specifically engage Catalyst, Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing and A2Dominion communities and residents
