CLOSING SOON : The National Lottery’s Platinum Jubilee Fund - Deadline: 15th December, 2021 5pm

We want to fund projects that create a greater legacy for our places and spaces, and that support new opportunities, activities and build better relationships with one another, across generations and with the natural world.

Funded projects will need to be up and running by Her Majesty The QueenÂ’s Platinum Jubilee Central Weekend on 5 June 2022.

Fund size : £30,000 to £50,000 for up to 2 years
Our three areas of focus are:

1. Across Generations – Strengthening relationships between generations and creating a legacy for future generations.
2. Community Renewal – Supporting new opportunities for people to develop skills and experiences in their local community, as well as opportunities to bring people together in new ways, and in new or different places and spaces.
3. Our Shared Natural World – Growing our care and action locally for the natural world.

CLOSING SOON : Household support funding- EALING COUNCIL -Deadline : 23rd December, 2021

Ealing Council has received money from DWP from the national Household Support Fund to provide support to vulnerable households and families with children during this winter period. The funds the council has received are time-limited and need to be used for this purpose by 31 March 2022.

The council would now like to invite further local voluntary and community groups to work with the council to help ensure these funds reach those who really need them. The funds can be used to provide direct support to residents and also to raise awareness of the support available through the council. This will include:

  • Provision of support with food
  • Provision of support with energy and water
  • Provision of support with essentials linked to energy and water
  • Other wider essentials.

If your group is already delivering support to vulnerable individuals/households, has a payment system already in place, and feels that they would be able to help, there is more information and an application form available.

Your Best Friend Fund Small Grant(£1K-£10K) Deadline-Rolling Large grant (£10K-£25K)Deadline: 18th February, 2022

We expect to give 30-40 small grants of £1,000 – £10,000 and 6-8 large grants between £10,000 and £25,000
Small Grant (£1K-£10K)
If you are applying for a small grant, (£1k – £10k) this is a rolling programme so you can apply at any time and we will assess your application at the next available panel meeting  Small grants first panel: 24th January 2022
Aims: Your idea or project must: 

  • increase understanding about healthy, unhealthy and toxic relationships
  • give people the knowledge and confidence to know how to keep their friends safe

Large Grant(£10K-£25K)
If you are applying for a large grant (£10k – £25k), the first deadline is 18 February 2022
Aims similar to mentioned under smalll grants

  • You can apply for a grant to use the tools and resources Your Best Friend creates in your own community, or to develop ideas and activities of your own. Your idea or project should focus on girls, young women and non-binary people aged 13-24. We are particularly interested in getting these tools and resources to those who might not find the help they need easily and need it in a language, or style, or place where they feel safe.

Hybrid working: how to make the most of Microsoft 365-CHARITY DIGITAL

Operating in the Cloud, Microsoft 365 offers charities much more flexibility. The Cloud stores your data remotely and securely, giving employees 24/7 access to their documents, and itÂ’s very cost-effective.

With the Cloud, there is no having to download documents and reupload them – you and your team can edit them as you go, with complete visibility of any changes and with the knowledge that you’re all up to speed, increasing productivity.

It’s also more energy efficient than alternatives – though you can calculate its environmental footprint here.

The free versions of Microsoft 365 can provide charities with the essentials they need, but eligible organisations can also get access to a discounted version of the premium subscription software through the Charity Digital Exchange.

Microsoft have some great offers on discounted tech for charities. Find out whether your organisation is eligible

With the move to working from home, Microsoft Teams has now reached this level of ubiquity. Even before the pandemic, we highlighted how cloud-based solutions allowed for increased communication and collaboration. Now, Teams has become a fixture of many charitiesÂ’ daily operations – allowing staff to keep in touch and work together via instant messaging chat, video conferencing capabilities and quick-and-easy file sharing.

These products have allowed many charities to make a smooth transition to a remote working model, and continue to offer their vital services amidst a climate of challenges and disruptions.

Most of us probably take access to these solutions as a given. But charity digital leaders will need to make decisions when it comes to sourcing software and licenses for employees. There are a number of Microsoft products available at a discounted rate through the Charity Digital Product Platform and Exchange Programme. These can allow organisations (particularly smaller charities with limited budgets) to gain access to important software at affordable rates.

The Right to Thrive Innovation Fund: Deadline : 22nd November, 2021 

The Right to Thrive Innovation Fund is a small-grants scheme totaling £100,000. It is designed to fund and support innovative community and grassroots projects across London which help support the mental health and wellbeing of those who are experiencing higher levels of unfair treatment and discrimination.

The Right to Thrive Innovation Fund will award grants of up to £20,000 and a broad range of projects will be considered. The fund is particularly designed to support those who typically find it difficult to access other forms of grant funding.

The fund also aims to support the London Recovery Board’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Recovery Mission by empowering local community ambassadors and ensuring that in the longer-term, those groups and communities most impacted by the pandemic can live healthier, happier lives and improve their mental health and wellbeing.

FAMILY LINKS ISLAMIC VALUES (ARABIC) Enrollment now open 11th November, 2021

The 11-week programme promotes emotional health, relationship skills and positive behaviour management strategies for parents/carers. The programme draws on extracts from the Quran and sayings (hadiths) of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to demonstrate how Islamic religious values complement positive parenting strategies.
