Sustainability Training: Introduction to Measuring Outcomes
19 September, 10am-12:30pm on Zoom
This training is for organisations new to measuring outcomes or those who want to refresh their skills in the area. This training session supports organisations to better evidence and demonstrate the impact of their services.
Special Event: Addressing The Women’s Sector Recruitment and Retention Challenges
29 September, 11am-2pm on Zoom
Join Ascent as we discuss the impact of the current recruitment and retention challenges being experienced by our sector and explore the different ways we can work collectively to address them.
The event will include presentations of the main trends emerging from the sector regarding the current recruitment and retention experiences
There will also be space for sector members to contribute to the sectors response to the challenge
Ascent training is FREE for all organisations or projects based in London working with those affected by sexual and domestic violence.

Paid opportunity: Join the Fair Evaluation Working Group
The Equitable Evaluation Collective is forming a Working Group to co-create a plan for making evaluation in the UK fairer and more inclusive.
They are looking for people who have lived experience of being a participant in an evaluation to help shape our activities over the next few months. Members of the group will share and discuss ideas in a series of online workshops taking place from September 2023 February 2024. The time commitment will be approximately 7 hours and members of the group will be compensated £50 per hour for their time.
They are keen to engage a diverse group of members and would really appreciate your help sharing this opportunity. Please could you share widely with your networks and participants that youve conducted evaluation activities with, and encourage anyone who you think might be interested to apply?

Community Grants from North West London ICS and Rethink Mental Illness
North West London ICS and Rethink Mental Illness are pleased to inform you we have another round of community grants on offer.
We are allocating grants to applications illustrating:
- a social response to suicide prevention
- co-production with people with lived experience
- innovation
The panel will be meeting consecutively for 3 months allocating grants at every panel from mid-October to mid-December 2023. We suggest you send in your applications as soon as you can to allow for any support around your application, the closing date is 24th November 2023.
We welcome collaborations, multi-borough applications as well as smaller neighbourhood-based initiatives. Please use the following link Community Grants if you are interested in applying for funding.

Could you be Heathrow Community Trust’s new trustee?
Heathrow Community Trust are seeking an individual with a passion for their community to join our board of trustees.
Our board is diverse and includes community leaders, Heathrow employees and charity professionals. Each trustee brings personal and professional expertise to their role and all trustees are motivated to support communities surrounding the airport. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with an interest in the future of the communities surrounding Heathrow Airport to take on the important role of Trustee to Heathrow Community Trust. We are particularly seeking to recruit a trustee with experience of working with young people, either directly with young people in community based or educational roles, or significant experience within organisations supporting young people.
