Freshwater Foundation New Grants for Hounslow

The Freshwater Foundation has recently acquired significant new funding and so is urgently looking for Hounslow VCS groups to apply for grants of up to £2000. For the purposes of this funding, you will need to:

Be incorporated in some way (CIO, CIC, Registered Charity, social enterprise limited by guarantee)
Have 1 years worth of accounts
Use volunteers or promote volunteering
Be a small charity (typically have an annual income of less than £100,000, but contact info@freshwaterfoundation.org.uk if up to £200,000 and you still consider yourself small)

Brentford Flea Market Returns This April Plus Lasting Power of Attorney Service

Brentford Flea Market is back this spring, bringing a vibrant mix of vintage treasures, mid-century furniture, and unique finds from local vendors.

Taking place on Sunday 26 April, 9:30am – 3:30pm at the London Museum of Water & Steam, the market promises a great day out for the community while supporting an important local cause.

Following the success of last year’s event, which proved hugely beneficial for Speak Out in Hounslow, organisers are hoping to build even more awareness and welcome new visitors. Entry is just £2, with all proceeds going directly to support the museum.

Visitors can expect a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and a carefully curated selection of homewares, furniture, and one-of-a-kind pieces—perfect for collectors, bargain hunters, or anyone looking for something a little different.

Southall Volunteer Walk Leader Training on Thursday 7th May 2026

This training is for anyone interested in becoming a Walk Leader in Southall or the surrounding areas. Please can you promote this and let me know if you’d like me to send you a physical poster.

We are looking for new volunteer walk leaders to receive walk leader training and then take part in delivering a programme of weekly wellbeing walks (though volunteers don’t necessarily have to be available every week as it’s flexible).

This is a free opportunity for people to broaden their skills, help their community get active and connected, and have some fun leading social walks.
