Salary: NJC scale 19-26 FTE £31,908 – £36,965 (including Outer London Weighting) Pro rata £25,526 – £29,572. Excellent pension package and annual leave entitlement.Â

A unique opportunity to build a brighter future for children and families in Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow, you will join a dedicated and experienced team in assessing and monitoring family needs, managing volunteer support, connecting families with essential community support and delivering school holiday activities for families.Â
This rewarding and varied 28 hour-a-week role is central to our mission to give every child the best start in life. We are looking for someone who brings a genuine commitment to making a lasting, positive impact on the lives of families in our communities and has parenting experience, an understanding of the needs of families with young children, excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to manage varied projects.Â
Home-Start Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow is a vibrant family charity, essential to the wellbeing of our communities. We provide vital support to families during the important and challenging early years of raising a child. Through one-to-one partnerships, our volunteers help families respond and adapt to their experience of parenthood and our family play and support groups build connections, friendships and skills. Â

Round 1 of this grant programme is open for applications from Monday 5 February 2024, and is available for grants of up to £4,999 for one year projects, or grants of £5,000 to £15,000 per year for up to two year projects.  This round closes on Tuesday 9 April 2024 at 10am.

·     Y1 Supporting the local community by creating opportunities for young people up to age 24 to make a positive change to their behaviour about their future (e.g. raised aspirations, improved attitude to learning, increased knowledge of progression opportunities)
·     Y2 Supporting the local community by creating opportunities for young people up to age 24 to break down barriers to employment through skills development.
·     Y3 Supporting the local community by creating opportunities for young people up to age 24 to improve their quality of life (e.g. increased resilience, improved mental health).
