Adjustments during the Coronavirus outbreak
Many voluntary and community groups and charities in the borough have cafes, snack bars or other places where groups of people get together and socialise.
Some of you also have meetings involving large groups of people, and for this reason the Hounslow Council Community Partnerships Unit (CPU) has an urgent message from the CouncilÂ’s Director of Public Health about taking measures to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 virus through social distancing.
In view of these guidelines many organisations may want to adjust your programmes of work; postponing some activities or carrying out services in different ways.
The CPU would like to reassure you that they will support you in this. Whenever you have any queries or need some support please get in touch with the CouncilÂ’s Community Partnerships Unit:

Coronavirus support
Given the current situation in relation to COVID-19, we wanted to update you in relation to our planning. Our priority is the health and wellbeing of both our staff and everybody who we work with on a daily basis. As a result, we are cancelling all future training/workshops until further notice.
We will continue to deliver capacity building support and volunteering information to the Community and Voluntary Sector. Our teams are well set up to work remotely and are fully responsive via phone and email as usual. We have the technology in place to conduct our meetings online or via conference call. We are confident that the quality of service you receive from us will remain as high as usual but we appreciate your support as we deal with any inconveniences that may arise during this period.
If you have any questions in relation to our planning or related to your own response planning, please get in touch.
Thank you for your continued support during these challenging times. We are glad to continue working closely with you and look forward to the situation stabilising and an eventual return to more normal circumstances.
