Young Local Heroes is a campaign run by Shepherds Bush Housing Group. The aim of this campaign is to celebrate the accomplishments of people aged 16-19 in west London boroughs. This includes:

• Brent
• Ealing
• Hammersmith & Fulham
• Haringey
• Harrow
• Hillingdon
• Hounslow
• Kensington & Chelsea
• Richmond
• Wandsworth
• Westminster

The criteria for our heroes is quite broad, we would like young people who make a positive impact on their communities to be nominated. This could be by: volunteering, running a club, assisting others or looking after the environment.
The nominations close on Friday 18 May, and after that day a panel of judges will review the entries and select finalists. They will then be invited to our 50^th anniversary event in July where the celebration will take place and awards will be given. To nominate someone, people must complete the form on our site: https://www.sbhg.co.uk/young-local-heroes. It is in the 50^th anniversary section.
We would be grateful if you could spread the word about the campaign among volunteers and staff and encourage them to nominate young people.

Do you have the skills to be the Fundraiser for INS?
We are a dynamic local health and social care charity who is in search for our next Fundraiser – could this be you?!
The purpose of this role is to maximise the charity’s income from a variety of resources. The main focus of this role lies within generating grant income from Trusts & Foundations as this is an established and achieving area, raising an income of £150,000. This is a mixture of both existing and new Trusts and Foundations. We are now looking to grow this area further and increase the income that is being generated. This is a big element of the role, therefore you must be able to demonstrate key knowledge and experience within Trusts and Foundations fundraising.
The other two areas of the role are Individual Giving and Corporate Fundraising – both of which are developing areas. INS is a dynamic organisation that has established these two areas of growth and would like to expand to maximise income in other income streams.
As part of Individual Giving, you will be developing relationships with existing donors as well as identifying other donors, nurturing these relationships all the while. In terms of Corporate Fundraising, you will be managing the current corporate partnership which is worth £15,000 and developing new contacts to expand and build on new partnerships.
We are a small organisation where everyone works collaboratively to ensure they are doing their all in support of the great cause. This is a chance for you to get involved with a great team, a great charity and a great role to show off your skills and experience to help develop the organisationÂ’s Fundraising capacity.
