More grant to charities and other organisations
Published on: 6 August 2018
The Isleworth & Hounslow Charity Ltd (the Charity) makes grants to other charities and organisations which offer help to local people. Traditionally it has given grants of up to £500 throughout the year. But this autumn it will increase the maximum sum to £3,000. And make what will then become an annual set of grant decisions.
To be eligible for a grant, the charity or organisation has to show evidence of the need of the project and show that the beneficiaries would be people in need, hardship or distress who are living within the London Borough of Hounslow.
Organisations need to complete a grant application form and send it to the Charity by 31st October 2018. Organisations are encouraged to submit their forms well in advance of the deadline so that there is time to obtain further information if this proves necessary. In November the Charity will then decide which organisations should be given a grant, for the period January – December 2019.
The application form and guidelines for grants may be found on www.iahcharity.org.uk They are both being reviewed and any changes will be made by the end of September.
No new applications will now be considered until November 2018 and any organisations who received a grant from the Charity during the period November 2017 to July 2018 will not be able to apply for a grant until October 2019.
