Mayor of London’s VAWG Cost of Living Fund now open
Published on: 16 March 2023
Organisations tackling violence against women and girls (VAWG) are reporting an increased need for financial support for basic items such as food and travel, as well as rising costs of household bills and accommodation. The cumulative impact of the pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis has also compounded the structural inequalities affecting women and girls, leading many women and children to stay in dangerous situations because they fear they are unable to survive economically on their own.
The £1 million VAWG Cost of Living Fund, which we are managing on behalf of the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), will provide grants to community-based organisations tackling violence against women and girls in London to help them respond to this growing need
Applications are now open and you have until 12pm on 4 April to apply for grants of between £10,000 and £30,000 for a period of six months.
