Following the very successful Avocado pilot project (funded by the Tudor Trust) from September 2016 – August 2018, we are pleased to announce the launch of the AVOCADO+ Accelerator programme to support Black, Asian, Multi-Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) groups to become more financially sustainable. The Avocado pilot project demonstrated that small BAMER groups benefit from intense capacity building support if they are to maximise their potential. Groups require additional training and support in areas such as governance, finance and leadership to maximise their fundraising efforts. This programme will help them move on to the next stage in their development, equipping them with the tools and confidence they need to survive and thrive.
The next academic year will run from November 2019 – September 2020 and applications for BAMER organisations to join the 2019/20 programme is open now and until 30th October 2019.
