The Customer and Communities Improvement Fund (CCIF) is South Western Railway’s programme to support projects that have a community benefit or address an area of social need across our network. This includes the Hounslow Loop Line via Brentford and Feltham.

CCIF is intended to support small and medium-sized projects which can be completed over the course of the year. Across all previous rounds of funding, we have supported over 100 projects with a value of more than £7million. Across our network, this funding has gone towards important local causes and initiatives, delivering extensive social value and benefit.

Applications for 2025/26 now open

We are pleased to announce we are now accepting applications for our next round of CCIF, for projects to be delivered and completed between the 1st April 2025 and the 31st March 2026.

Projects up to the value of £65,000 will be considered during this year’s submissions. You will find the application link here. All applications will need to be submitted by 31st December 2024, and all successful applicants will be notified at the start of April and the new Railway Financial Year.

An important part of CCIF is that it involves customers and stakeholders in helping inform which schemes are taken forward. Once a final list of preferred schemes has been finalised, it is submitted to the Department for Transport (DfT) which will make the final decision on which schemes go ahead.

Would you like to run an event or activity to help increase HPV vaccine awareness in your local community? If so, funding is available to you.

RM Partners is launching a grant programme offering up to £500 to local community and voluntary groups working in North West and South West London.

The funding is to support hosting an event or activity for your local community and spreading awareness of the benefits of the HPV vaccine for preventing cervical cancer and other cancers associated with high-risk HPV.

This programme is part of our cancer prevention strategy to increase HPV vaccine uptake in eligible school age children (from school year 8 and 9), girls up to age 25, and boys born after 1 September 2006, who have not been previously vaccinated.

The funding you receive can be used to help cover costs of an activity you have already planned for February to April 2025. Alternatively, you could plan a new event or activity. We are open to ideas about what format this might take.

In order for us to offer funding, the event or activity will need to provide an opportunity to share information about the HPV vaccine and to raise awareness amongst those eligible to receive it, or parents/carers who might need to consent to somebody receiving the vaccine (e.g. via school). RM Partners will provide you with the tools to do this by hosting an online training session and supplying printed/online awareness materials.

· is made up of three or more people and based in the UK

· have been in operation for at least three years before nomination

· is led by volunteers, not by paid staff

· provide a specific, exceptional and direct benefit to the local community

Then please consider nominating them for this prestigious award, the Kings Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS), often referred to as The MBE for volunteer groups.

Who is the funding for? UK-registered charities that have arts and culture as their core mission and are looking for funds to support transformational impact for the people engaging with the charity.

Do you enjoy being hands-on with project management, from organising events to communicating directly with participants and stakeholders? Are you passionate about bringing arts to diverse communities and creating meaningful, inclusive experiences for participants of all ages?

As the Programme Producer, you will lead the overall management and delivery of the ‘Connecting Communities through the Arts’ programme. You will work with existing local artists, identify suitable new artists and ensure the smooth coordination of creative projects. You will also manage project budgets and contribute to project evaluations.

What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience (minimum of 2 years) managing/producing creative projects, particularly in the arts sector and with the community/or a socially engaged arts practice.
• Experience managing project budgets, allocating resources effectively, and tracking expenses.
• Experience working with diverse communities and participants of all ages.
• Line management experience with the ability to inspire freelancers.
• Experience producing activities and events, with availability for evening and weekend work at certain times of the year.
