The LPB was established from March 2023, convening LondonÂ’s leaders to empower partners and provide a forum for strategic discussions to support policy and decision makers in the capital and beyond.

The LPB Co-Chairs – Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Cllr Georgia Gould – recognise that the Board must have representation from a wide range of key sectors that are at the forefront of responding to the needs of Londoners with the understanding of the challenges and solutions available to them.

We are seeking to appoint four exceptional individuals to the London Partnership Board to represent the following areas:

Social Enterprise
Voluntary and Community Sector Networks/Infrastructure
Poverty & Financial Hardship
Faith Networks

Biffa Award gives grants to community projects near landfill sites. It covers capital investment in a range of areas including: biodiversity, cultural buildings, community buildings, and recreation (parks, playgrounds etc).  VCSE or faith groups either need to own the land or have a lease of at least 10 years.  The site would also need to be open to the public for a minimum number of days each year or, if a sports ground or faith building, benefit the wider community.

The Green Skills Bootcamp, London Borough of Hounslow will provide free training to 20 residents in Hounslow and Ealing, and all learners will receive a guaranteed job interview with a local land management employer upon completion of the course.

The information session will be held on May 10th at 12 or 17:30

The training runs from Monday 26 June 2023 for 4 weeks, and will involve a mixture of classroom learning at Meadowbank, on-site work experience, and employability training.

Candidates must fulfil all of the below criteria:

Be a resident of Hounslow or Ealing
Be aged 19 or over
Be currently unemployed or in receipt of means-tested benefits

The course will run on a flexible, part-time basis on weekdays between 10am and 2pm. We will cover the cost of any childcare required during course hours, and all learners will receive a free London Zone 2-6 Travelcard to cover the cost of travel to and from Meadowbank and work experience sites throughout Hounslow.
