Lunchtime event –– discussions about health and wellbeing (Ealing Health and Wellbeing Strategy)

Come and take part in the Health and Wellbeing Strategy, this is an invitation to a lunchtime discussion event organised together with NHS colleagues and Ealing Council. A new plan for health and wellbeing services for the next 5 years is being organised. We would very much like to hear your views about health and wellbeing.

 

As part of creating this plan, we want to hear from across all communities in Ealing.  As or someone who lives or works in Ealing borough, this is a chance to influence how health and wellbeing services are planned and delivered over the next 5 years in Ealing borough.

 

Lunch will be provided as part of the event and discussions will be held with colleagues from Ealing Council in an informal setting.

SAY NO TO HATE – West London Equality Centre Seminar

Committing a crime against a person based on their faith, race, sexuality, gender orientation or disability comes with higher sentences under the law because of the damage it causes to communities through distrust, lack of cohesion, inequality and feelings of unfair treatment under the law. This seminar from WLEC is designed to look at how best to work together to ensure that local organisations, the police, and local councils work together to end hate crime in our communities. Speakers include: Mr John Azah from the National Hate Crime Independent Advisory Group, Nazia Matin (Strategic Prevent Manager Ealing) and Victim Support.

Black History Month

On Wednesday 12 October, Hounslow Council is hosting a free event for Black History Month at Hounslow House. Centred around the theme of ‘Time for Change: Actions Not Words’, the event will feature influential and acclaimed speakers discussing black history, celebrating the contributions and achievements to British society by the black community, and discuss how we can continue to tackle racism.
