Launching Ealing Together Matrix
At Ealing Council, we know the value and importance of the Faith, Voluntary & Community Sector and know how well-connected you are with your communities, their needs and what it takes to support them. The pandemic has taught us that close collaborations between the VCS and the Council was key to supporting people through the crisis, that if we continue to build stronger ties with you, we can all work better together.
The Ealing Together Matrix has been designed to create new opportunities for more collaborative working, to maximise the use of shared resources and to build accessible links to the people who can benefit from your service. It would take information about what you do and how you do it and share it internally with council services, specialists like social workers, regeneration officers, social prescribers, and park rangers to foster a working relationship where we can support you and you can support us. It will drive information to you, by providing better links with the council and creating opportunities for stronger collaborations.
To help local people learn about who you are and what you do, there will also be a compact version of Ealing Together Matrix available to the public that will provide information about what services you offer, how to access them.
WhatÂ’s in it for you?
• Builds visibility of your Organisation/Services available in your area.
• Provides more opportunities for collaborations between you and Ealing Council Services.
• Work together to reduce disparity and inequalities in health and socio-economic outcomes.
• Facilitates Information sharing on new council policies & projects.
• Promotes collaborations among local community groups and statutory bodies.
• Opens new ways of working together to make all sections of the community heard.
• Option to opt-in and engage in a referral system, whereby Ealing Council’s customer service community hubs can refer residents into your services.
• Connects you with Volunteers.
• Provide support to enhance your capacity by keeping you informed about New Funding, Health and wellbeing messages, Training, and Shared Resources (Venue, Digital support, Outdoor Furniture, e.g.)
• Increases the Social Value of your Organisation/Group.
Don’t miss out, join the Ealing Together Matrix, designed to promote better communication, more collaboration and help us all work better together.

Home Start RKH – trustee recruitment
Home-Start Richmond, Kingston & Hounslow (RK&H)
We are looking for trustees to join our Board and help us achieve our vision for supporting families in Richmond, Kingston & Hounslow.
We are a local charity supporting families and children in RK&H through our network of volunteers working with families in their own homes and in other settings across our three boroughs. Our tried and tested model, placing trained and experienced volunteers alongside families needing help, has been working for over 25 years and evidence shows it to be successful in delivering valued and effective support to families in crisis.
Whether you are an experienced trustee or want to join a board for the first time and have lived experience to bring, we would love to hear from you. We aim to be a diverse and inclusive charity, and are committed to reflecting the diversity of the communities we support in our own governance. We warmly welcome applicants of all ages and backgrounds, including for example, black, Asian or minority ethnic, people under the age of 40, fathers, carers, and people with experience of physical or mental illness or disability. This is a voluntary position, but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
What do our trustees do?
They set the vision and lead the charity: deciding how it is run and ensuring it does what it was set up to do. Their tasks include:
Strategic decision making, governance and shaping of new projects
Setting budgets and monitoring expenditure
Raising income to deliver the services required
Quality assurance and risk management
Supporting and challenging the Director and Senior Management Team
Who are we looking for?
You must live in Richmond, Kingston or Hounslow and we are looking particularly for residents of Hounslow and Kingston.
You must be passionate about supporting children and families.
You must be able to commit to understanding the governance, workings of a charity and role of a trustee.
While a trusteeÂ’s role is flexible, you will need to be able to dedicate 5-10 hours per month for meetings and charity business.
Full details of the role including the job description and information on how to apply can be found on our website homestart-rkh.org.uk. The deadline for applications is 31 July 2022.
