There will be a Hounslow Local Youth Network Event on 21st March 10:30-12:30pm at St Johns Centre, 80 St John’s Rd, Isleworth.
The event will be an opportunity to network with VCS groups working with young people in the borough. There will also be stalls from a variety of organisations including Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, Hounslow West Model City, the Challenge, Jack Petchey Foundation and Hounslow Council Community Partnerships Unit. Â
The Hounslow Youth Local Network aims to provide support to youth organisations and projects through:
- Capacity and skill building, fundraising advice, group development, networking and one-on-one sessions.
- Be a vehicle to attract substantial external funding to expand the long term sustainability of the youth sector in Hounslow.

Hounslow Community Network
Hounslow Community Network is the representative body for the voluntary sector in Hounslow and aims to give groups a greater voice in local decision making. It now has over 360 member organisations.
Hounslow Voluntary Sector Support Service (HVSSS)
HVSSS offers support to community and voluntary sector groups in Hounslow. Support services include advice on group development, funding advice, policies and training.
Brentford FC Community Sports Trust
Working in partnership with Brentford FC, the Trust offers a portfolio of programmes in education, employability, sports participation, health and community engagement.
Hounslow West Model City
Model city is a ‘place-based approach’ bringing together different organisations from across Hounslow West to form coalitions who will use the power of sport to drive change in their communities. It is a partnership between Laureus, Nike and the Mayor of London.
The Challenge
The Challenge runs programmes for young people to gain confidence and skills in order to create a more integrated society.
Jack Petchey Foundation
The Jack Petchey Foundation was set up by Sir Jack Petchey to inspire and motivate young people across London and Essex to do their best and reach their full potential.
Hounslow Council Community Partnerships Unit
The Community Partnerships Unit (CPU) is the team in Hounslow Council that supports the borough’s Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector.
