The Future of Communities: Live Stream
Over the last 18 months IVAR has gathered views from a range of communities across the UK asking  ‘How can communities become more empowered and vibrant in the next ten years?’.
Join the live streamÂ
Don’t worry if you can’t make it to London – you can still take part in the discussion from wherever you are in the country by joining our live stream.
So we can keep you in the loop, book on with the live stream ticket and we’ll send you the link when it starts.
What to expect
The interactive launch event will be chaired by Bob Thust, and feature a presentation from IVAR about issues communities have raised during the research, including:
- the importance of spaces, as places and opportunities for people to meet informally and overcome differences
- the idea of ‘transience’ in communities that have previously seen little change
- questions about whether communities should be responsible for change, or if that responsibility lies with others
This will be followed by reflections from research participants and an open floor discussion. You’ll be able to ask questions and make comments about what’s happening through our live stream platform. This is an opportunity share your response to the research and consider what it means for the future of your community.
When
10 July 14.00 – 16.30
If you would like to join the live stream please click here or contact Lindsay Street for further information.
North West London's Health Research Register
Discover is a health research register for North West London for those who want to find out more about health research opportunities. Often people who want to contribute to health research don’t know where to start or who to ask. Researchers have a similar problem – they want to improve healthcare, but sometimes can’t find people to participate in studies. Discover is an open register, any adult can sign up so as they live in North West London. The register is for both healthy people and those with a medical condition, and the research opportunities which people can participate in could be related to any field of health research.
