At the heart of the MayorÂ’s approach to sport in London, is his belief in the power of sport to bring people together to improve their lives. To achieve this, we want to engage locally with a range of community groups, youth services, elected representatives, sports organisations and residents to ensure the local community remains at the heart of this strategy.
We would therefore like you to join the Mayor of LondonÂ’s sport team and Laureus Sport for Good for a community workshop to enable us to understand the local area and the opportunities for sport in Hounslow. The objective of the session will be to share more information about Sport Unites, and the partnership with Laureus. Most importantly, we want to gain your insight into local issues and provision and use this to help shape our work. This is the beginning of more local level engagement around our sports programme that we hope to continue across London over the next three years.
In order to ensure maximum availability for attendees there are two workshops scheduled for this borough on the 30th May 2018. Afternoon session (12pm-2pm) and an Evening session (6pm-8pm). Please select one.
Both sessions will involve a level of interaction led by an external facilitator as well as providing a safe space for feedback and debate. Small refreshments will be provided.
We would like this event to be as accessible as possible as well as inclusive therefore; we can only provide two tickets maximum per organisation.
For further advice in how to arrive at the venue please go to http://www.hounslowartscentre.co.uk
There will also be limited appointments in between the workshops between 3pm and 4pm for a scheduled appointment with the facilitators should you not be able to attend either workshop that day.
To register for attendance for the session please go to this link here and select one of the two workshops being delivered that day
