What is the EU Settlement Scheme and how to help clients to apply for EUSS?
This training event and workshop is for front line staff and volunteers of organisations which provide information and advice services to EU citizens. EU citizens and their family members can apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue living in the UK after the UK leaves the EU.
The workshop will explain in detail:
What settled status is
Who is eligible to apply
How the application process works
What documents your clients need to apply
Making application for a child or non EU family member
What if your client already has document certifying permanent residency
or indefinite leave to remain
This is a FREE event hosted by Ealing CVS and will feature talks and case
studies from expert trainers from the West London Equality Centre, late lunch
will be provided.

We are seeking a project lead for our ‘Connect and Change’ project – a project aimed at helping people from black and minority ethnic communities (BME) to health and wellbeing.
MAIN PURPOSE:
To lead on and ensure the effective establishment and delivery of a mental health counselling, outreach and support project (Connect and Change) in the London Borough of Brent to BMEs.
- Provide direction, supervision (managerial and clinical) to members of the team, including Support & Engagement worker, peers, volunteers and trainees alongside a supportive role to other project leads
- To engage with stakeholders and partners to promote the project and ensure its learning is shared
KEY POST REQUIREMENTS:
Counselling experience and qualifications – must be accredited by BACP or UKCP or BPS
- Experience of working with people with a range of mental health needs and from BME communities
- Ability to manage a case-load of clients for 1:1 counselling sessions and group sessions
- Ability to promote the service and learning from it, e.g. trainings, workshops, presentations
- Ability to supervise and support others
- Ability to provide clinical supervision
- Understanding of mental health issues within the BME community and ability to develop services that meet their need

Hounslow Programme Coordinator Vacancy
Learn English at Home are seeking a new Hounslow ESOL Programme Coordinator to join our committed team and help us achieve our goals of improving support for our clients and volunteers and building strong relationships with referrers and other partners in the borough of Hounslow. The Coordinator will support our volunteers to deliver our services, including home-based ESOL support and classes in small group settings. This work includes assessing the needs of female clients through visits to their homes. It is therefore an occupational requirement of this role that the post holder is female*.
*This is in accordance with the provisions of the 2010 Equality Act (Schedule 9, Part 1, Paragraph 1).
We are looking for someone with experience of and commitment to working in a multi-cultural environment with a vulnerable client group of females. She will also have experience of volunteer management, teaching ESOL and of planning and delivering training. The person we are looking for will be able to work flexibly and on their own initiative, but also have strong communication and team-working skills.
