Learning Together autumn- free, flexible programme of regional learning and development activities for voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations (VCSE).Closing date Friday 17th September

WhatÂ’s on offer? Those joining Learning Together will be offered a learning package to get them ‘social prescribing’ ready. Participants will be able to take part in a series of online workshops based on a variety of themes including sports, arts and green social prescribing. There will also be virtual peer-to-peer shared learning sessions organised. The programme will be tailored based on the needs identified in the application form by participants. Participants will be connected with a regional Thriving Communities lead, who can support new partnerships with arts, heritage, natural environment, financial wellbeing, physical activity and health and care organisations, including social prescribing link workers. These opportunities are only available through Learning Together.

What skills will I develop? During Learning Together, you will have the opportunity to:

Build new partnerships and network with fellow participants and organisations across sectors
Share and explore challenges of your work, learn from others, and consider possible solutions
Champion your work in social prescribing and supporting communities

What to expect:Â Learning Together is free to join. It runs from late September/early October 2021 to March 2022. We would encourage you to join the full programme of events to get the most out of it for you and your organisation; with a commitment of at least 1-1.5 hours each month.

Fresh Fund-Our mentorship program for black talent -Deadline: 11:59 PM ET, 31 August 2021.

Courier Holdings Ltd (the Â“SponsorÂ” or Â“CourierÂ”), an international media company based in London, UK, which produces educational and inspirational content for modern entrepreneurs and small businesses, is offering The Courier Fresh Fund, a $150,000 (USD) fund to support black founders of small businesses (the Â“FundÂ”). The FundÂ’s objective is to help make a difference in the lives of young black business founders who are looking for an opportunity to get going, or to move their fledgling business to the next level but who could use some assistance. The Fund will make grants of varying amounts to black founders aged 35 and under who are building small businesses based in the UK or US. Selected founders will also receive ongoing mentorship by successful entrepreneurs and have their stories told in Courier’s print, audio and digital products, reaching an audience of 800,000+ people in over 60 countries.

The Freshwater Foundation – 2nd Funding Round- Deadline: 31st October, 2021

Funding availableÂ UnderÂ Â Â£2000 -The group must be based in Ealing or Hounslow, the project must concern the needs of communities in Ealing and Hounslow and the group should ideally do the bulk of their work in those boroughs.

Both the organisation and the project will be reasonably small. This is difficult to quantify in financial terms, but in general we will probably only consider projects worth Â£20,000 or less. WeÂ’re looking for organisations that have an annual income of around Â£50,000 or less, but there are plenty of exceptions; churches that have income associated with other activities, small CICs generating fairly large commercial revenues, and small groups in receipt of support funding from the council to fund expensive but necessary aspects of their work Â– these are just a few that we have come across.

Please get in touch to discuss further if you exceed the Â£50,000 limit but nonetheless believe yourself to be a small group.

The project will preferably be volunteer led, but if not, should promote voluntary charitable and community activity in the area. Ideally, less that 50% of the project expenditure will be on salaries or fees.

Â£100,000, to support sustainability in small-medium sized mental health voluntary, community, and
social enterprise organisations.

This is a fund responding to emergent need; we must be able to see how this is going to be used in a
way that is responding to the current phase of the pandemic.
