Mapping Digital Inclusion community activity in London
Superhighways is leading on work for NAVCA mapping, collecting and networking community led digital inclusion activity in London, linked to the VCS Emergencies Partnership, and running to the end of June. We feel it’s really important that community sector work to bridge the digital divide, particularly during the pandemic, is recognised. And that we spot opportunities to share good practice and learn from each other.
To further existing collaboration with the HEAR Network, the GLA and London Office for Technology and Innovation (LOTI), and to avoid yet another survey – we’re asking you to publicise and add any community initiatives you know about to this LOTI form (scroll to the bottom of the blog for the form link).
We can then extract ‘third sector’ initiatives for our mapping for the VCSEP to raise awareness of the extent of this work with central government. But simultaneously raise community profile with LOTI and other stakeholders, who are focusing on the Recovery Board’s mission for Digital Access for All – Every Londoner to have access to good connectivity, basic digital skills and the device or support they need to be online by 2025. There is a Digital Inclusion Innovation Programme being launched which Superhighways is attending and can feed back on.
