AVOCADO+ Accelerator Programme Applications Open
Money4YOU is a UK based Charity founded in 2014 by Carol Akiwumi, MBE.
Money4YOU exists to tackle inequality through quality education by equipping individuals and organisations with tools for stewardship, financial sustainability, and entrepreneurship. We place a strong emphasis on young people, women, and disadvantaged communities. We are the premier specialists in delivering infrastructure support and capacity building interventions to black, Asian, Multi-ethnic, and refugee (BAMER) led non-profits in the UK.
Our flagship programme, AVOCADO+, is an annual accelerator training programme that seeks to improve the operational efficiencies and funding sustainability of these user/needs-led organisations. Currently its 6th year, the AVOCADO+ workshops, events and practical support are based on the six areas that make for resilient organisations, as defined by the Charities Aid Foundation.

London Local Action Poverty Fund for Small Community Groups, and Charities
Date and time: Tue, 2 November 2021 12:00 13:00
Your opportunity to get match funding for your work and fundraising efforts!
About this event
Are you tackling poverty and inequality in outer London?
Are you a charity, social enterprise or community group which has a project that provides practical solutions to support people on low incomes? Does it address local issues in creative ways? Is it led by the communities that will benefit from the work?
We, at Small Charities Coalition, are working with Crowdfunder and Trust for London to get funding to organisations based in ten boroughs in outer London to do exactly this. If you meet the requirements, you could receive match funding of up to £10,000.
The Crowdfunder platform allows anyone to be able to set up a fundraising project. However, their partnership with Trust for London, means that charitable organisations who meet their criteria can apply to the Local Action Poverty Fund and their match funding pot!
So, who can apply for the fund?
Projects will be raising funds to undertake charitable work that:
? Provides practical solutions to support people on low incomes
? Addresses local problems in creative ways
? Is led by the communities that will benefit from the work
Eligible organisations are:
? Located and working in outer London (including Hounslow and Ealing)
? Undertaking charitable work to tackle poverty and inequality
? Actively involving people in their communities in the delivery of their work
? Raising funds from a minimum of 25 individuals.
? Having annual income of under £100,000
To make sure your project goes to plan, youll have the support for Small Charities Coalition. We have partnered with Crowdfunder and Trust for London to provide eligible and interested organisations with the tools to create and deliver successful campaigns. Our support, advice and assistance will be delivered to you through a series of online sessions (and hopefully face-to-face in the future). Youll learn how make use of the media and stand out from the crowd. You dont have to be an SCC member, just someone who meets the criteria.
PEACE Project Training Schedule

If you are keen to attend any of the sessions please reply with an email to Peace@hounslow.gov.uk stating the name of the session and the date on which you would like to attend.
If you are booking sessions for more than just yourself, which is also fine, please include the names of the attendees with the information as outlined above.
Once confirmed, we will send out MS Teams invites to all attendees prior to each training session, but please do make a note of the date and time in your own calendars until that arrives. We also hope to be able to deliver some in-person sessions in the new year!
