Oral History Project – Queer Global

🏳️‍🌈 Elevate Community Productions are recruiting London-based LGBTQ+ people to take part in the Queer Global Oral Histories project.

🌍 We want to hear stories about migration, identity, belonging, and what it means to build a life in London as a queer person. We are keen to hear from people from global majority backgrounds and or migrant communities.

Who can take part:

🏳️‍🌈 LGBTQ+

🔞 Aged 18 or over

📍 London-based, or previously lived in London

🌍 From a global majority / POC background and or a migrant

🚆 Able to travel to our studio in Hounslow (TW5)

What is involved:

🎧 One recorded oral history interview

🏠 Interviews take place in person at our Hounslow studio

💻 A small number of online interviews may be offered where appropriate

⏱️ Interview length is approximately one hour

What you receive:

🪙 A stipend paid to you of £50 to cover your participation and expenses

📚 Your story archived at the Bishopsgate Institute

📱 Featured in our social content

🎬 Potential to be a main contributor to our feature-length documentary

Got an Idea to Make Southall More Pleasant?

The new ‘Your Voice, Your Town’ Southall fund can fund projects that help to make Southall a more clean and pleasant place

This funding is open to community organisations, local schools, faith groups or just someone with a great idea.

In total, Southall has up to £120,000 available for grants, with three levels of funding :

Smaller grants of up to £1,000 – these are intended to support visible community action.
Medium grants up to £5,000 – for all kinds of projects.
Larger grants of up to £80,000- larger grants will be very limited and only be awarded for exceptional projects, which can show strong, visible and lasting impact on the priorities.

The deadline for applying is Sunday 8^th March 2026.

Projects must use the funding by the end of September 2026.

Southall Community Alliance is a charity that has been working in Southall for over
30 years. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Operations & Capacity
Building Manager to oversee our community and project work over the next two
years.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills, community
engagement and fundraising experience and the confidence to manage and deliver
projects that enhance local networks.
This is a 2 year fixed term contract, with the possibility of an extension subject to
