Acton Connect Successful Launch Event and Calendar of Events

Acton Connect was successfully launched on Thursday 23rd November at an event held at Acton Gardens Community Centre. Acton Connect is the Community Connections project for Acton funded by Ealing Council and delivered by a consortium of local community groups led by Ealing and Hounslow CVS. The project will support the provision of a range of community activities, exercise classes, music classes, lunches, coffee mornings and special workshops with the aim of reducing social isolation in vulnerable groups in the Acton area.

Attendees at the launch event included local residents and representatives of community groups who heard an introductory speech from the Mayor of Ealing Councillor Hitesh Tailor. Music was provided by the group Steel Pan Trust and partner organisations presented about the activities they will be offering. The partner organisations are:
