The week is organised as a series of activities and initiatives to support and raise awareness of the hundreds and thousands of small charities that, every day, make a huge difference to vulnerable communities right across the UK and the rest of the world.

THANKING OUR SMALL CHARITIES BY

  • Celebrating the contribution that small charities make to communities
  • Improving knowledge, representation and sustainability of small charities
  • Highlighting  the work of the small charity sector to the broadest possible audience
  • Encouraging public giving
  • Working with the small charity sector to develop political engagement at a national and local level

The highest award is given to charitable organisations, the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service will be awarded to 241 organisations across the UK today, as the Minister for Civil Society and Youth hailed volunteers as “the backbone of local communities” during the national recovery from COVID-19.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS ON RECEIVING THIS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD

Small Charity Big Impact Social Media Competition

During this time, now more than ever the effects our work has is essential, with much of the work you do, as a small charity, going unnoticed – maybe because you are so busy doing and don’t have the time to tell everybody what you’re actually doing! So now is the time and a little incentive.

How it works:Click here
The FSI, Social Value UK and PolicyBee will be reviewing social media over the day (Twitter/ Facebook/ Instagram) tracking the organisations supporting the day using the #SmallCharityBig ImpactDay hashtag – with £50 donations are up for grabs for the most eye-catching posts!
Good Luck!
