We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team and lead our new NCT Birth and Beyond Community Supporters project in Feltham and Hounslow. The project is currently funded until June 2020 and will train mothers to provide peer support to other mothers.
This is a key post to help NCT broaden its reach and relevance to parents of all backgrounds and in building up its reputation as a credible provider of services.
About the role

Delivery project using standard service delivery toolkits
Recruitment and management of volunteers, including safer recruitment and DBS checks
Liaison with the peer support trainers to ensure they are well supported in their role on the project
Liaison with local health care professionals including establishing a close working relationship, developing effective referral pathways to ensure that they have a clear understandeing of the project and make referrals to the service
Ensure that the service is delivered to the project specification and agreed budget which must be strictly adhered to
Manage servies according to the project specification which may include establishing new peer support groups
Build confidence in and awareness of the service with local health professionals in order to build effective referral pathways. This will include mapping key teams, attending team meetings and formal presentations.

The role will be home-based with some travel around Feltham and Hounslow area. The role is 28 hours per week.
Please note that this role will require a DBS check to be carried out.
About you:
We are looking for someone with a keen interest in the transition to parenthood and a good understanding of the role of peer supporters coupled with excellent communication and IT skills and time management.
You should have experience of the initiation and ongoing management of complex projects across multiple locations, building relationships across organisations to deliver community support, managing referrals and extensive experience of managing volunteers.
You should also have experience of undertaking data collection and using this to draft professional reports. You should be comfortable working independently and be able to demonstrate experience of successfully working with diverse cultural groups.
