Save the Date and unlock funding with evidence

9:30 AM – 1:00 PM | 3 February 2026 | Perceval House, Ealing Council
Join us for the launch of Evidence & Learning for Health’s free learning and development offer – designed to help voluntary and community groups strengthen funding bids and show the impact of their work.
Why attend? Evidence and Learning for Health is a collaboration between Ealing Council, local community groups and universities. Together, we’re building skills and sharing knowledge to address health inequalities and improve wellbeing for everyone in our borough.
At this event, you’ll:
· learn how evidence can unlock funding and strengthen your proposals
· hear directly from funders about what they look for
· discover free learning and support available to your organisation
· network with other community groups over lunch
· We’re here to help you build your skills in evidence gathering, research and evaluation so you can: tell funders about local needs to support funding bids and to show the impact of your work
· provide deep insights into the needs of local people that can create a case for changing policy and services
This offer and event have been co-designed with local groups to make sure it’s practical, relevant, and worth your time.
Please put the date in your diary today and registration details will follow in early January.
More about us: We are Evidence & Learning for Health, one of 30 Health Determinants Research Collaborations (HDRCs) across the UK – funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research.
We support Ealing Council and its partners to embed a culture of always using evidence to inform decisions to create better policies and services for the community.
We do this by:
· offering free learning and support to help people engage with research and use evidence well
· promoting and supporting local research into the building blocks of health
· using Participatory Action Research to work with communities, turning insights into action.
· linking data together to get better results
Our new website will be going live in the New Year, but if you’d like to get in touch in the meantime, please contact us via HDRC@ealing.gov.uk.
