Public Health Equalities Programme
Published on: 15 April 2026
In 2025, the Public Health Equalities Programme was developed to strengthen leadership, visibility and participation among minoritised communities in public health spaces. It created opportunities for organisations and community members to take a more active role in shaping local public health conversations, while also supporting leadership development and stronger networks of collective influence.
Its importance lay in helping move public health toward a more participatory and community-led model. By supporting networks, events and leadership development, the programme helped ensure that communities were better able to influence decision-making directly.
Impact:
- Minoritised Communities Network launched with 120+ members.
- 6 events held with 176 participants and 23 speakers.
