NHS Health Equity Co-Production Programme
Published on: 15 April 2026
In 2025, the NHS Health Equity Co-Production Programme centred community insight in the work of identifying service gaps and shaping more inclusive health responses. It created opportunities for residents to contribute directly to conversations about health equity, helping ensure that lived experience informed service improvement in meaningful ways.
Its value lay in moving beyond consultation alone. By combining insight-gathering with wider review activity, the programme helped create a stronger basis for service development that was more equitable, grounded and responsive to the communities it aimed to serve.
Impact:
- 172 community members engaged in 2024/25.
- Reported service gap findings around asthma, maternity and refugee care.
