Help Through Crisis Rescue Advice Hub

From 2021 to 2024, Help Through Crisis and the Rescue Advice Hub supported residents facing hardship through a model that combined immediate crisis response with longer-term support. The project recognised that people in crisis were often dealing with several issues at once, including food insecurity, domestic abuse, housing, employment, immigration, mental health and skills needs. By bringing practical support and coordinated advice together, it helped residents address urgent problems while building greater stability over time.
What made the programme especially powerful was that it did not stop at emergency help. It also helped people develop pathways out of repeated crisis by offering follow-on support, signposting and access to wider services.
Impact:
- 371 people received initial support and signposting in 2022/23.
- 260 engaged in Stage 1 and 118 in Stage 2 in 2022/23.
- 568 clients received initial support/signposting in 2023/24.
