Places of Worship Security – open for applications

Jun 13, 2018 | Funding

As part of the 2016 Hate Crime Action Plan, the Government launched the Places of Worship Protective Security Funding Scheme, committing £2.4million over three years. So far, 89 places of worship have received grants to install measures such as protective alarms, security lighting and CCTV cameras to deter attackers.  There is a separate scheme administered by the Community Security Trust for synagogues.

The fund is open from 8 June and will close on 10 August 2018.

Further details of the funding scheme and how to apply can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/places-of-worship-security-funding-scheme

If you have any questions regarding the Places of Worship Scheme please contact the Home Office’s Hate Crime Team on securityfundingCED@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
