Hounslow Council is working with the NHS to provide a new funding programme for projects that improve the mental health of people living in Hounslow. The Hounslow Response – Mental Health Fund is open for applications from 14 December 2020 and provides funding of up to £50,000 for projects run by voluntary and community organisations supporting the wellbeing of people with moderate to severe mental illness.
Priority areas that we would like to fund are:
- Services that improve the mental wellbeing of the local BAME population, residents who identify as LGBT+ and people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
- Support to residents who have experienced trauma, particularly those whose first language is not English and where their trauma relates to migration issues.
Applications can be made from Monday 14 December 2020. The deadline for applications is Monday 25 January 2021 (9am).
