NEW ESOL-FRIENDLY GROWING WITH MINDFOOD
Published on: 6 May 2022
MindFood are offering a new ESOL friendly gardening programme at Horsenden Farm -Â in our experience, nature is a universal language so weÂ’ve decided to run a weekly session dedicated to those who donÂ’t speak English as their first language.
It will be an opportunity to escape everyday pressures, reconnect with nature, do some food-growing (all levels of experience welcome!), learn about mental health self care, and take home some freshly harvested veg.
The sessions are part of a 3 year programme with City Bridge Trust, and our hope is that participants of these sessions will one day be able to lead MindFood sessions of their own as ‘experts by experienceÂ’. All MindFood session leaders started off as participants, so everythingÂ’s possibleÂ…even if it feels like a bit of a reach now 🌱🌿😀
