LAGER Can Wins the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service

LAGER Can was honoured in July 2021 with the Prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. This is the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK, the equivalent of an MBE for charities and social enterprises.

This year, LAGER Can is one of 241 charities, social enterprises and voluntary groups to receive this prestigious award.

LAGER Can is Growing a community litter picking group-Founded by Hanwell resident Keith Freegard in February 2017 with Cathy Swift, Administrator-Litter Action Group for Ealing Residents (LAGER Can)

LAGER Can’s mission -We are a group of local people concerned about littering and flytipping, and the anti-social behaviour that leads to them, in the London Borough of Ealing.LAGER Can works in partnership with Ealing Council, Greener Ealing Ltd (GEL), businesses, schools, and other organisations to remove rubbish from our open spaces and improve our environment for everyone to enjoy
