Contract: Permanent, Part-Time: 14 hours per week
Location: Hybrid working, with office presence at Vestry House, 21 Paradise Road, Richmond TW9 1SA
Salary: Salary scale NJC scale point 19-22 including outer London allowance £13.7k – £14.4k per year (£34-£36k full time equivalent)

About the Role
As Finance Officer, you will play a pivotal role managing the finances of the charity, ensuring all operational finance aspects run smoothly and that the CEO and Board of Trustees have timely and relevant financial information to inform governance and decision making.
This role is a hybrid role, with a requirement to be in our office on nominated team days, currently Wednesdays.

Key Responsibilities
Management of day to day finances for the charity
· Maintain accounts on the online bookkeeping package and maintain all necessary documentation
· Process all payments including banking, accounts covering payments in, payments out, invoicing and working to pre-set budgets
· Management of cash balances, providing periodic cash forecasts; maintain up to date bank signatory lists
· Manage our Gift Aid processes and returns
· Ensure efficient processing and payment of staff and volunteer expenses
· In liaison with Payroll Bureau and the Pensions Trust, ensure monthly payment of salaries and pension contributions. Ensure NI, PAYE and HMRC payments and year end returns are made on time and well documented
· Ensure high quality, accurate management accounts and financial information are produced on a timely basis for the CEO, Board of Trustees and audit purposes
· Prepare the annual budget, in conjunction with the CEO and Treasurer
· Prepare the draft annual accounts and work with the Independent Examiner / External Auditor to produce accurate year end reports
· Produce financial information and data analysis for reports to funders and funding applications, as required
About You
Essential Skills and Experience
· Full or part qualified or working towards a relevant accountancy qualification
· Experience of using a digital accounts package for bookkeeping
· Experience of producing management accounts, budgets and financial information, and preparing draft financial accounts
· Good written and verbal communication skills
· Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills
· Excellent attention to detail & accuracy in reporting detailed financial information
· Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines
· Team player – ability to work flexibly as part of a small multi-disciplinary team and on own initiative
· A genuine interest in the needs of children and families and delivering responsive family support that makes a difference to families’ lives.
Desirable
· Experience in the non-profit or community support sector
· Experience of our current accounting software, Quickbooks
