Hounslow Wellbeing Network – Grant Opportunity
Published on: 14 December 2022
London Borough of Hounslow in partnership with West London Trust (WLT) is inviting bids for the management and development of Hounslow Wellbeing Network (HWN). Funding of £171,700 annually is available for this purpose and we are looking to award a grant for an initial period of three years. HWN has its roots in a coproduction initiative that began in 2014, when a group of residents and mental health staff came together to develop a new approach to promoting mental and physical health and wellbeing. The idea was to create a social network that brings people together to combat social isolation, share assets and strengths, solve problems, and get involved in activities of their choice. This is a holistic concept which does not differentiate between those with diagnosed mental health needs and others – any local resident interesting in joining is welcome to join. A second key element of the original HWN offer was a one-to-one mapping exercise, aimed at enabling people to think about their current social network and how they might want this to develop or change.
Organisations interested in submitting a bid will be invited to attend a workshop and/or individual meeting with commissioners to learn more about the required service and raise questions.
• Organisations will then submit their bids using an application form which can be requested from community.development@hounslow.gov.uk
• The deadline for submission is Tuesday 31 Jan 2023 9am
