Hong Kong Suicide Prevention training dates – early 2024
Published on: 11 January 2024
As part of the Greater London AuthorityÂ’s Hong Kong Integration Programme, Papyrus and Hearth Talk have collaborated for the first time to co-produce a unique and critical suicide prevention training that will educate participants on how to have culturally conscious and sensitive conversations with Hong Kongers who are contemplating suicide.
There is now a fantastic opportunity to take part in further training. Papyrus are pleased to announce they will be running the following training sessions in early 2024:
16th January 2024 5:15pm until 6:45pm for Hong Kongers and Hong Kong organisations: SP-OT training Suicide Prevention Overview Tutorial. What EVERYONE needs to know. Please sign up here https://www.papyrus-uk.org/training/es-hearth-talk-sp-ot-4/
Plus two fully funded ASIST courses, in January and February 2024.
ASIST is a two day, in person, suicide first aid course. It is delivered and implemented worldwide, and World Health Organisation approved. You can find out more about it here:Â https://www.papyrus-uk.org/asist/
If you would like to take part, you can sign up via the links below:
January 25th and 26th 2024: https://www.papyrus-uk.org/training/es-hearth-talk-asist-1/

Please note, these are highly sought after courses, so please do only sign up if you can definitely attend. If you can no longer make it, do email: lauren.elcock@papyrus-uk.org and let me know so we can give your space to someone else.
Also, to highlight, the ASIST training will be delivered completely in English without any interpretation, so please do bare this in mind if you’d like to take part.
Availability for the ASIST training is on a first come, first served basis. Your deadline to sign up by the 29th December, so we can offer the spaces more widely.
