Help shape Ealing Council’s priorities for housing in Ealing
Ealing Council is seeking views on housing and homelessness in the borough to help inform the development of a new housing & homelessness strategy.
This information will be used to help inform our new five-year housing and homelessness strategy. There will be further consultation on the draft strategy itself and the delivery plan later this year.
As you are aware; housing plays an important role in the health, social, environmental and economic wellbeing of everyone who lives in the borough. The housing and homelessness strategy will aim to identify the key issues around housing and homelessness in Ealing and set out the vision and plans to address those issues for the borough. It will cover all types of private and affordable tenures of housing and complements the Local Plan, which focuses on the spatial plans and planning policies for housing.
Your views
For individuals living and working in the borough the survey focuses on housing issues and future aspirations. We are also seeking the views of stakeholders with an interest in housing issues including; landlords, developers, public sector organisations, armed forces / veteran support organisations, the community and voluntary sector and registered providers of social housing. There is also an opportunity to comment in more detail on the six emerging priority areas which are to:
- Increase the supply of homes in Ealing
- Support high quality, sustainable homes and neighbourhoods
- Work to prevent homelessness and rough sleeping
- Provide well- managed, genuinely affordable homes
- Tackle housing inequality in the borough
- Safer, better managed private rented homes
The survey along with further information is live on the Council’s website until Friday 8 April: www.ealing.gov.uk/housingsurvey
