The Voices of SEND Support Network

The Voices for SEND Support Network (VSN) supports Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) families affected by autism, with a focus on the Somali community in the UK.

Recognising gaps in research and services, VSN provides culturally sensitive education and resources to combat stigma and promote evidence-based interventions.

Many BAME families lack autism awareness, often relying on traditional healing methods instead of professional support.

VSN’s mission is to empower families, increase understanding, and foster inclusivity, while its vision is a future where all BAME families can access the tools needed to help individuals with autism thrive.
