Greenwell Early Years Innovation Grants
Published on: 11 June 2025
Funding: £50,000 for community organisations in the borough
Target group: Projects designed to meet the needs of the Early Years cohort of children and their families
This Innovation Fund aims to support Greenford PCN neighbourhood families with at least one child under 5 years (Early Years), including antenatal innovative projects.
North West London Integrated Care System (NWL ICB) and Greenwell Primary Care Network, a grouping of seven GP practices working together in the Greenford, Hanwell and Perivale area, are piloting a new programme which focuses on improving the life chances for parents, babies and children under 5 years old who are living in the Greenwell PCN area, focusing on some of the most disadvantaged population of the neighbourhood.
The programme focuses very much on prevention and health promotion, as interventions in the early years of children and their families are more likely to improve health and wellbeing in later years.
Importantly, the programme also seeks to identify and support children with long-term or repetitive medical conditions and improve parental engagement, education and greater access to existing teams and services in the area.
Fund Aims
The Early Years pilot in Greenwell PCN set aside a funding of £50,000 for community organisations in the borough to bid for by proposing innovative and co-produced projects designed to meet the needs of the Early Years cohort of children and their families registered with Greenwell PCN GP practices.
Awards
Two organisations were awarded the grant in December 2024 and will run their projects until October 2025.
