Google.org & ISD Innovation Fund

Round 2 Applications are now open for Google.org & ISD’s £1m innovation fund to counter hate and extremism
Our £1m innovation fund will support innovative projects on and offline that seek to disrupt, undermine, counter or provide positive alternatives to hate and extremism. Applications for this round are being accepted from now until Monday 16th April 2018 at 17.00 GMT. 
The fund will disburse grants of between £5,000 and £100,000 to campaign groups, civil society organisations, technology developers, educators, young people working with their youth centres, academic institutions or consortia of these organisations or groups. For this round of applications, we also encourage applications with a focus on women/gender, mental health and Anti-Semitism.

Who is eligible? UK registered charitable organisations (registered with the Charity Commission, including registered number and/or exempt status). UK academic institutions. UK Community Interest Company (including registered number). UK registered private companies and UK social enterprises, only in partnership with any of the above (UK charity, academic institution, Community Interest Company).

 

Projects will be… Innovative, including new approaches, ways of working, networks and partnerships, or new applications of skills or technologies to achieve the fund objectives. Delivered online or involving a combination of online and offline actions and activities. Designed for maximum impact and orientated towards practical and measurable outcomes. Designed for delivery in the UK only.

 

When to apply? Round 2 is open for applications from 19th March – 16th April 2018. Successful applicants will be notified in late June/early July. All projects must conclude by the end of December 2018.
