BAME organisation’s coming together to support local communities during COVID pandemic
Ealing & Hounslow CVS have been successfully running a weekly network meeting CACHE- BAME COVID Response Network, through the support of London Community Foundation hosting a specialist network in order to support the vital and valuable work that is taking place to through voluntary sector groups working with the hardest impacted by the pandemic.
The aim of the network is to broaden the reach of community groups in strengthening engagement and by providing a platform to plug into the national conversation of how the pandemic is disproportionately impacting BAME communities.
The goal of the network over the next six months is to strengthen upskilling make robust the work of existing groups through a range of different themes;
– Safeguarding
– Covid vaccination and fears
– Mental Health
– Fundraising
– Digital exclusion
– Sharing of best practises
– Networking and more
Lets get together & have our say and make this weekly meeting a vital resource point for groups supporting the BAME communities.
