Comedy Course for Men

Feb 7, 2023 | Uncategorized

We are offering a pioneering comedy course co-produced by experts by experience, health professionals and comedians.  This is a collaboration with our local Recovery colleges, using North West London ICBs Community Grants.  Please share with your networks, places are going fast.

Please see the flyers for ‘Comedy on Referral’ with details to sign up via the relevant Recovery College in your area below:

West London Comedy on Referral – F i n a l

CNWL Comedy on Referral – F i n a l

Here is some further information:

Aims of the course

1)    A hope that by bringing men together we can affect a change in their mental health through comedy

2)    Empowerment with comedic technique, that we can help people to feel confident about themselves

3)    An appreciation that other people can help you in your life

4)    Connection with yourself and that of others

About the course

Comedy On Referral enables people, through group work,  taught theory with a comedian and games to explore elements of their life that they would like to analyse through comedy.

Participants will be supported to understand what their comedic persona is, what they want to tell others about their story and how to write and perform that material.

The course aims to provide a fun way for men to explore their experience of the world and invites them to turn that into a comedic set.
