London Catalyst, the Hospital Saturday Fund and the Sir Halley Stewart Trust have come together to launch the 2019 Partners for Health grant programme. Registered charities in London can apply for:
· grants of up to £10,000
· for projects that will create positive outcomes for people facing significant barriers to health and wellbeing
· a new approach, or a thoughtful development of a service
· where the charity will be working in partnership with a health expert or health provider.

West London Turkish Summer Festival 7 July 2019
West London Turkish Festival, a charity event, will take place on Sunday 7 July 2019 at the Springwest Academy outdoors grounds in Feltham in West London. The festival brings every year a diversity of people together who learn about Turkish culture and taste delicious foods while enjoying the various entertainment and activities on offer for the whole family, for all people and for all ages. Organized this year for the 4th consecutive year, this 1-day festival is attended by thousands of visitors from all over London, the UK and Europe.

Bridging the Access Gap in Hounslow and Richmond
A new initiative to encourage more third sector staff and volunteers to take up sign language as an extra language and skill is now available in Hounslow and Richmond. Signs4Life are showcasing this local initiative to help staff and volunteers, in their work, with vulnerable service users, colleagues, and members of the public, who may have hearing impairments.
You never know when you will come into contact with a client, a colleague or member of the public who is autistic, deaf or visually impaired. There are over 9 million deaf and hard of hearing people registered in the UK,” explains Ms Sara Phillips, Signs4Life tutor.

Open Sessions is a free online tool that London Sport have created specifically to help grassroots clubs work better. It is completely free to use Open Sessions, all you need to do is register and you will then have access to free marketing and be able to process session payments through their secure online payment system. In return, your sessions will be available online to thousands of people via a range of activity finders, like Get Active London.

The Councils Health and Adult Care Scrutiny Panel has established a Task and Finish Group to consider the role that the community and voluntary sector plays in delivering prevention and early intervention services across the borough. They are inviting VCSE groups to discuss this at a workshop on Friday 15 February, 9.30am to 11.30am, led by Councillors Richard Eason, Kamaljit Kaur, Melvin Collins and Patrick Barr

Leaders with Lived Experience Pilot Programme
Leaders with Lived Experience is a pilot programme providing National Lottery grants of between £20,000 and £50,000 to support lived experience leadership. A lived experience leader is someone who uses their first-hand experience of a social issue to create positive change for, and with, communities and people they share those experiences with. At this stage we expect to award between 15-20 grants.
