LSCP training programme – now live on the website
The LSCP has been working to develop a free training programme to be offered across all of the London boroughs. There are limited spaces, which are free to professionals working in the public and voluntary sector.
The training sessions can be booked via Eventbrite, all of the training booking links and an up to date list of the sessions can be viewed on the LSCP website: https://www.londonscb.gov.uk/resources/training-and-bookings/
Please note that additional sessions and topics will be added as they are confirmed with the trainers. The trainers have all kindly offered to deliver these sessions free of charge.
Do You Want a Career in the Care Sector?
The NLET Health & Social Care Academy is an integrated programme of free careers support for West London residents. Funded through the Mayor of London’s ESF programme, this programme is for West London residents interested in working in health & social care and living in one of the following boroughs: Ealing, Hounslow, Barnet, Brent, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow or Hillingdon.
The Academy offers a range of support and access to a variety of job roles beyond personal care – for example, Support worker– young people, substance misuse, mental health, elderly, learning/physical disabilities. Cook/chef, domestic assistant, repairs/maintenance, admin/HR and activities coordinator.
Participants may be on the programme for between 2 and 10 weeks and attendance is designed around participants’ personal circumstances and the support they require to move into employment. A bespoke training plan and activity timetable is agreed with a dedicated Employment Mentor.
