ActForEaling
#ActForEaling is the London Borough of EalingÂ’s community-led climate action hub. Through our online platforms we celebrate all the fantastic climate action that is taking place in Ealing so that residents know what they can do to #ActForEaling. We have built a network of local partners who are organisations and community groups carrying out positive climate action throughout the London Borough of Ealing. We want to mobilise the community as part of EalingÂ’s journey to reach net zero, restore nature and strengthen biodiversity through connecting people with organisations, volunteering opportunities, events and sharing climate knowledge.
As well as this digital network, in 2021 we made a physical impact in the community and nationally. During our launch in September we held a climate-positive photography competition and over the next 6 months an exhibition of the winning photographs will be touring the libraries of Ealing. To mark COP26, we worked with local partners to create a permanent climate action mural in Ealing Broadway. Based on our 10 practical steps to lead a more sustainable life, we engaged the community in painting a creative, and educational climate action resource in the centre of the borough. We also had members attend COP26, showing how national policy aims can be actioned at a community/local level.
Please come along to our partners mixer on Saturday 22nd January to meet the #ActForEaling members and some of our partners, show your support for the creative displays of community climate action created by the competition winners and make 2022 the year you #ActForEaling.
