Community Leadership Programme

Civic Futures
If youÂ’re working on grassroots-led change in London, or know someone who is, we want to hear from you! Nominations will close on 2 July 2019, and applications by 12 noon on 10Â July 2019.
In London, this civic society is already all around us. It is represented by the people working tirelessly to serve their communities, by the city’s highly effective activists and organisers, its radical artists and curators, as well as by the individuals and networks exploring new ways of caring for each other and the world around them. Deeply embedded in communities across the city, this civic society has a unique role to play in bridging us to new and unknown tomorrows.
To support that urgent work, Civic Futures starts by asking how we can build shared wisdom in making the transition to a better future? How do we best bring together some of the amazing people active across London to learn from and support each other in building that future?
The Programme
Civic Futures is an initiative by Koreo, Dark Matter Labs and The Young Foundation, in partnership with the GLA. From September 2019, we’ll work with up to 25 people to facilitate a collective learning experience focused on peer relationships and learning, inquiry and exploration, systems thinking, and collaboration across London’s civil society as well as with the GLA.
Apply or nominate someone now
If you or someone you know is deeply embedded in a community, with a proven track record of working in and with that community to serve their interests and experiences, then we want to hear from you. Have a look at the programme overview here for more details, and apply or nominate someone now.
- Application: We’re accepting applications now, please complete the form below. The closing date for applications is Wednesday 10 July
- Nomination: We know that many community leaders do not necessarily think of themselves as leaders, either because of the work they do or the way they do it. For this reason, we’re asking for people to nominate someone they know who would make the most of this opportunity. We’re accepting nominations now, please complete the form below. The closing date for nominations is Tuesday 2 July
