New Community Grants for Cultural Projects
Published on: 26 March 2018
Greater London Authority (GLA) have launched Culture Seeds, a new micro-grants scheme for grassroots community organisations and individuals for community led culture projects. Grants of between £1,000 – £5,000 are available www.london.gov.uk/culture-seeds for individuals, not-for-profit organisations with a turnover less than £50k. The programme will be open for applications from May but people can register their interest from today.
The grants are for funding arts, culture and heritage projects and activities. This includes visual and performing arts (music, dance and theatre), film screenings, digital art, cultural events/festivals, literature, spoken word, reading groups, craft and making activities, choirs/singing groups and creative writing.
Projects must have local people at their heart. We want projects that offer shared creative experiences to bring communities together. We will prioritise projects that support people on lower incomes, and connect communities that lack access to cultural resources and funding.

Who can apply?
