Give Back/Feel Better – Supported Volunteering
Published on: 21 April 2026
Give Back/Feel Better – Supported Volunteering supported young people in Ealing who were struggling with their mental health by creating opportunities to improve wellbeing through volunteering. The project was designed around the idea that meaningful, supported volunteering can help build confidence, routine, connection and a stronger sense of purpose for young adults who may be experiencing emotional distress or isolation.
The programme offered participants the opportunity to complete a 12-week volunteering placement, with a focus on young people aged 18 to 25 who were based in Ealing and needed signposting to primary mental health support. It was open to all eligible young people, including those from minority ethnic communities and LGBTQ communities, reflecting EHCVS’s commitment to inclusive and accessible support. By combining volunteering with signposting and tailored support, the project aimed to create positive mental health outcomes while also helping young people feel more engaged in community life.
